Lourdes Day Mass

The Order of Malta invites all parishioners to Lourdes Day Mass to be celebrated at St Mary’s Cathedral on Saturday 3rd Dec at 10am. A blessing of the sick will take place during the celebration of the Liturgy. If you are attending and are confined to a wheelchair or require other special assistance at the Cathedral, please phone Stephanie Kane on 9331 8477 before 25th November.

Friendship Group Christmas Lunch

All retired parishioners are invited to our annual Christmas lunch to be held on Friday 25th November. Lunch will be served in the St Joseph’s Centre after the 12 o’clock Mass. Anointing of the Sick will take place during the Mass. RSVP to Jenny Puleo on 9651 3330 by Tuesday 22nd Nov.

Sacramental Program

If anyone missed the last meeting please see Sr Anna for the new material. Parents will need to complete the handouts from the last parent meeting with their child before the next group meeting.

Christmas Hampers

Hamper Mass December 11th please take a note from the foyer. Please fill a green bag for the House of Welcome hampers, families at the Campsie Crisis centre are now up, and toys would be appreciated by the 4th of December. Food vouchers from supermarkets can be added to the hampers.Thank you, any queries contact Sue and David Martin 9654-1013.

Vinnies Christmas Appeal

St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal will be held next weekend 26-27th November.

Diocesan Musicians Party

An invitation to music co-ordinators and musicians in the parishes to attend a Christmas gathering at St Patrick’s Cathedral on Friday 16th December from 7pm – 10pm.  This will be an informal opportunity to meet people involved in music ministry with Parramatta Diocese.  The evening will commence with a short service of Sung Evening Prayer (Vespers) in the Chapel at 7pm with Bishop Anthony Fisher presiding. Vinnies Christmas Cards

Christmas cards (Majellan and St Vincent de Paul) are now available at the Piety Stall in the church foyer. $5 per pack of 10. Columbian Calendars are also available at $6 each.

Women’s Retreat

Four religious sisters from an American community called The Sisters of Life will be visiting Sydney this year and will be running an afternoon retreat for all women seeking to deepen their prayer life and be inspired in their faith. Wednesday 14th December at the University of Notre Dame, 104 Broadway, Broadway from 12.30pm – 5pm (Mass at 12.30). This is a free event with lunch and afternoon tea provided.
