World Youth Day 2011

Vinnies Door Knock

21-22 & 28-29 August.
Volunteers are needed for 3 hours to collect donations for this year’s appeal. It is a great way of having fun, exercising and meeting people in your area while collecting money for a good cause. Ph: 9689 1900.

Wednesday morning prayer group is held in the chapel after the 9.15am Mass and everyone is welcome.

Diocesan Shopping Day

This year’s Annual Diocesan Shopping Day will be held on Saturday 20th November. More info will follow in the next few weeks. Keep the day free… its lots of fun and the bargains are terrific!

Bereavement Support

The Diocesan Solo Parent ministry is now offering a monthly Bereavement Support gathering in the St Nicholas of Myra parish rooms (enter off Higgins St) Penrith on the second Tuesday of each month, at 10.00am, or immediately following the 9.30 am Mass. Anyone over the age of 50 and who is grieving the death of their spouse/partner is very welcome to join this gathering; parishioners from any parish are welcome to attend. Diocesan Youth Breakfast

Sat 21st August: Diocesan Youth Leadership Breakfast: we are blessed to have Bishop Anthony as our guest speaker at the Breakfast. It will be at the St Patrick's Cathedral Hall, 1 Marist Place, Parramatta from 8.30-10.30am. Flyer will be sent out soon.

Retreat

Mary MacKillop Feast Day

Celebrate this special feast day at Mary MacKillop Place, North Sydney on Sunday, 8th August 2010. Pedestrian entry to will be via 80 William Street, North Sydney (wheelchair access via Museum gates, 7 Mount Street). Masses will be celebrated outdoors on Glenroy Green: 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm & 3 pm. Chapel open for private prayer & visits to Mary MacKillop’s Tomb: 8.30 am - 5 pm. Museum open (free admission):  8.30 am – 5 pm. Mary MacKillop memorabilia, Ethica Peruvian products & light refreshments will be on sale.
